The Executive Director Demand Marketing is a senior marketing leader with a proven track record of leading demand generation programs in a complex B2B environment. With overall responsibility for leading CSG's outbound demand generation marketing activities directed towards current and potential customers and partners, this role will have a direct impact on filling and accelerating the company sales pipeline. This role leads demand generation teams, professionals who partner with client business unit and marketing leadership on the creation and execution of the go-to-market strategy within CSG's global business. They leverage a combination of data-driven analysis and problem solving, combined with strong partnerships with client business unit and marketing leadership to support business growth through effective marketing programs. This highly collaborative role will also liaise with members of the product, sales and other cross-functional teams, to ensure alignment to overall business objectives.

We are looking for an Executive Director, Demand Marketing who will:

Revenue Growth and Support

Collaborate with client business unit and product marketing leadership to create and execute the go-to-market business plans that drive sales growth within CSG's various lines of business across all channels.

  • Develop and lead innovative outbound marketing strategies and programs intended to meet and/or exceed sales objectives. Ensure effective adoption of marketing campaigns at all levels of the organization.
  • Own the conceptualization and executing of demand creation and nurturing across the globe.
  • Monitor program results and make ongoing enhancements and adjustments to strategies and programs, as needed.
  • Partner with client business unit and marketing leadership to understand sales and growth strategies, the market environment, and customer needs in order to develop integrated marketing initiatives and to support the client business unit teams with marketing campaigns and their use across prioritized go-to-market initiatives.
  • Build and maintain collaborative relationships with client business unit and product marketing leadership and address any high-level issues with the channel marketing strategies.
  • Systematically monitor and analyze marketing performance against lead generation and other marketing goals to ensure delivery on leads across all integrated marketing programs; continually drive marketing ROI through program optimization and resource alignment.

Campaign and Program Management

Leverage and adapt corporate and product marketing programs and activities to help generate leads, promote CSG brand awareness and influence customers, prospects and analysts globally.
  • Develop innovative programs and campaigns to fill the lead pipeline and align marketing planning and initiatives to meet and exceed lead and opportunity goals across all business units.
  • Conduct analysis across campaigns to continuously optimize campaign and channel performance.
  • Ensure the voice of the customer is inherent in all programs and shares responsibility for the success of all programs, global and regional.
  • Own the overall strategy and lead the team responsible for physical and virtual events (i.e. trade shows, client conferences, client events, business reviews, webinars, etc.) Collaborate with client business unit, corporate and product marketing and product teams to ensure events align with overall lead generation/nurturing program objectives.
  • Drive demand generation strategy and post-event lead nurturing strategies, and partner with marketing operations on lead tracking, reporting, and field compliance.
  • Collaborate on various support requests such as case studies, testimonials, etc.

Team and Resource Management
  • Build and manage assigned marketing budget(s) to drive optimized investment and ROI.
  • Responsible for strategic planning and resource allocation decisions across all demand generation activities.
  • Partner with marketing leadership to develop, track and achieve key performance indicators that drive improved pipeline velocity and campaign effectiveness
  • Select and manage outside agencies.
  • Manage cross-functional teams, including non-marketing participants.
  • Responsible for effective demonstration of managerial practices to include: the identification and recruitment of key strategic talent globally, providing day-to-day leadership to the channel marketing team, the establishment of clear roles, responsibilities, and lines of business support for team members, as well as the overall coaching and performance management of a high performing team.

Is this opportunity right for you? We are looking for candidates who:
  • Requires BS/BA degree in a marketing discipline, or equivalent work experience
  • 10+ years of progressively responsible experience with a minimum of 4 years in marketing team leadership, preferably for a B2B, technology-driven enterprise.
  • Experience in partnering with leaders across marketing teams and internal business units to align efforts, connect dots and add context that enables flawless execution of communication strategies and tactics.
  • Experience influencing other creative disciplines (e.g. video, events, audio/visual, etc.), working collaboratively and creatively to achieve the desired goal.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Strategic thinker, problem-solver and mediator with ability to manage multiple, sometimes differing inputs to achieve best messaging/positioning.
  • Proactive by nature, with ability to partner with leaders across marketing teams and internal business units to align efforts, connect dots and add context that enables flawless execution of communication strategies and tactics.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and know how to get things done in a fast-paced, fluid environment.
  • Ability to set and meet strict deadlines and budgets.
  • Natural curiosity and desire to understand and implement the latest trends, technologies, and tactics needed to drive B2B sales opportunities with a keen interest in exploring new channels for messaging and content distribution
  • Natural storyteller, with ability to find or create news/communications opportunities. Ability to be a thought leader and creative force in the industry
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with high attention to detail.
  • Ability to demonstrate leadership in a highly collaborative environment and also go deep with hands-on expertise.
  • Experience developing and leading large scale Account Based Marketing programs highly desired
  • The ability to articulate a vision and strategy in way that inspires and motivates a team and focuses their energy on achieving business goals
  • Ability to lead a proactive marketing organization and ensure accountability for results that maximize contribution to business objectives
  • Ability to use a personal computer. Proficiency with other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language in a business environment.

Position Pay Range:

This range represents the low and high end of the salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary based on factors including but not limited to geographical location and experience.
$168,435.97-$269,497.55

This role is eligible for bonus and equity.
