Overview

Responsible for providing a variety of services including troubleshooting, repair, maintenance and improvement of facilities. Performs programs of building maintenance, construction, and remodeling within Champion Teamwear. Such maintenance includes the Champion facility and improvements, grounds, utilities, mechanical, electrical systems, parking lots, equipment, and vehicles.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains physical plant of Champion Teamwear:
    • Landscaping, mowing grass, and outside sprinkler systems.
    • Lighting, fixtures, and emergency lighting systems.
    • Air Conditioning units, heating units, hot water heaters, and fire extinguishers.
    • Office furniture, shelving units, tents, garage doors, and roof.
    • Building equipment and vehicles.
  • Maintains a safe work environment to include: conducting a safety walk through once a week and correcting problems as applicable.
  • Maintains landscaping, to include mowing grass, and maintains upkeep and maintenance to outside sprinkler systems.
  • Provides assistance for snow removal.
  • Builds relationships with sub-contractors to support maintenance needs.
  • Completes position specific training plan, and engages in continuous development utilizing a developmental plan.
  • Upholds Champion Teamwear's Vision, Mission, and Values by "Making it Personal" during every interaction and process with all departments and team members.

Qualifications

Minimum Education and Experience Required:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 3 years of verifiable factory experience in a maintenance environment
  • Experience in resolving air conditioning, refrigeration, plumbing, electrical, carpentry (including painting), and appliance repair issues
  • Experience in all building systems, including but not limited to: HVAC, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing
  • Required to be familiar with and use all hand tools and power tools common to the skills listed and be well versed in the disciplines mentioned above.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction documents and apply construction principles
  • Ability to read and interpret and apply codes and applicable regulations
  • Ability to read and interpret blue prints
  • Have necessary computer skills to utilize word processing, spreadsheet, and trade specific programs
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Possess diagnostic and problem solving abilities
  • Possess a current and valid driver's license
