SUMMARY

We are looking for an experienced Financial Analyst that is detailed oriented to join our team. The Financial Analyst will be reporting to the Director of Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A). Analyzes and generates financial and operational data for the company. Participates in the development of budgets and forecasts by division and department to plan and ascertain performance. Establishes and revises standard costs and benchmarks. Assists with closing the financial records on interim and monthly basis by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES

  • The analyst supports operational managers in understanding performance results and monitors operational processes' profitability impacts.
  • Assist in creating timely and accurate preparation of ad hoc, weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports. The reports include but are not limited to: Operational and Financial flash reports, activity center (revenue stream) profit and loss statements, among others.
  • Analyses and generate ad hoc reports based on management requests.
  • Analyzes variable line item costs and fixed expenses; utilize the analyses results to establish unit standard costs and performance benchmarks.
  • Formally presents any analysis and report to the management team as required
  • The Analyst is responsible to generate and coordinate the interim, annual, and long-term financial (capital and operational) budgets. The budget responsibilities include variance result reports for the company and all departments (combined and severally)
  • Works with BI tools to create reports or programs reformulating data for operations' analysis
  • Performs strategic analysis support to the management team on business ventures, long range growth, planning, and tactical decision making.
  • Act as a liaison between Finance/Accounting and Operations in reviewing and coding invoices to the appropriate GL accounts.
  • Produce business cases/capital expenditure requests to be submitted to the Investment Committee.
  • Assist the accounting group with month-end close activities.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION and/or CERTIFICATION:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in Finance and/or Accounting required.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE:

  • At least 3-5 years of experience as a financial analyst in a medium to large sized company. Airline experience preferred.

SKILLS and/or ABILITIES:

  • Proactive, solution-driven and dynamic individual with the ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Knowledge of budgeting, trend analysis, cost analysis, operational and financial management reporting, benchmarking, standards of performance, and standard operating procedures is strongly preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power BI and Dynamics 365. Prior experience in Business Intelligence is a plus.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability work with confidential and sensitive data.
