Finance Intern

Essential Functions:

• Preparation and review of various types of financial statements including balance sheet, income statement and cash flow statement
• Prepare spreadsheets and documents as needed
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams
• Support AR and AP Functions
• Assist Management with Ad Hoc Reporting
• Perform miscellaneous administrative duties as needed
• Support on-going day to day accounting activities
• Set up and maintenance of month-end close checklists
• Accounting, reporting & forecasting processes
• Support Fixed Asset accounting and physical inventory process
• Perform a variety of accounting tasks involving bookkeeping and/or compiling financial information
• Performing internal projects
• General clerical work to include copies, filing and research
• Support functions for month end close and management reporting
• Audit preparation & review

Education and Training

Enrolled student working towards a bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Economics, or Finance at an approved accredited institution
Minimum GPA of 3.0/4.0

Minimum Qualifications

Knowledge of basic principles and practices of Accounting
Strong Analytics and MS Excel skills and abilities

Physical Demands

The intern should expect to minimally work between 30-40 hours per week between business hours of 8am to 5pm
Physical Requirements (standing, lifting, repetitive tasks)

Environmental Conditions

• Primarily office setting
• Exposure to extreme heat and extreme cold while in the plant.

Behavioral Traits

• Ability to work independently
• Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing.
