Our Pompano Beach, FL office is currently seeking an FPGA Software Engineer to join the FPGA team!

Essential Job Duties:

• Responsible for all phases Software Development including requirement analysis, high- and low-level design, coding, documentation, testing, validation, and integration.
  
• Responsible for implementing Software Algorithms on an FPGA Soft Core processor (NIOS)
  
• Responsible for integrating the SDK software controls into Simulation Workbench.
  
• Supporting all phases of Graphical User Interface development including design, development, implementation, IP module integration, testing, and maintenance of our FPGA Work Bench Applica
  
• Working closely with other SW engineers, FPGA engineers, hardware, and software developers to integrating new FPGA IP modules into our Intel Altera based FPGA architecture with hands-on role in product integration and testing.
  
• Software Engineer will learn how to debug and bench-test the FPGA hardware with their SDK using oscilloscopes, signal generators and other lab equipment.
  
• Involved in customer interaction such as requirements, support, and demonstrations of our GUI (FPGAWB), SDK, SimWB GUI, and FPGA IP modules.
  
• Contribute to improving the technical knowledge base and effectiveness of other engineers.
  
• Interface with co-workers and staff from other departments and ensures positive working relationship.
  
• Impart technical expertise within department, and to customers, users' groups.
  
• Perform such other duties as assigned.
  

Requirements and "Good to Knows":

• The candidate must have a BS or MS in Computer Engineering or Computer Science with strong programming knowledge. The candidate must love continuously learning, coding, and developing software for controlling FPGA hardware algorithms.
  
• The candidate will have strong programming skills. The projects involve multiple coding and scripting languages such as C, C++, Python, and Java. Knowledge of Hardware Description Language (Verilog) is beneficial.
  
• The candidate will be working on a small team developing the SDK (Software Development Kit) and lower-level drivers to interface and control FPGA algorithms running on our Intel Altera boards. Candidate will help maintain our FPGA Work Bench GUI. Candidate will integrate FPGA IP SDKs into Simulation Workbench.
  

Salary:

At Concurrent Real-Time and HBK we believe that transparency builds strong relationships; which is why we post the salary for our positions! This position has a starting range of $80,000 - 90,000 USD.
