Summary of Role:

This is a leadership position in the Corporate Strategy, Planning and Realization group. This group coordinates development of the corporate strategy and delivery against it through alignment of organization, establishment of leading and lagging operational indices, and orchestration of the performance management system. This team also collaborates closely with the CEO and other C-suite leaders to enable and/or accelerate high impact, cross-functional programs which drive our long-term, sustainable, profitable growth.

This is an executive level role, where you will serve as a partner to a senior business leader, and you will lead one or more concurrent sprint-like engagements with teams of fully dedicated analysts/associates to support rapid attainment of our objectives. Over a 2 year period, you will be deployed across several functional areas, rapidly building a broad understanding of GlobalFoundries systems, processes, and people. You will also quickly build a leadership network which supports your continued rapid personal and professional development.

GlobalFoundries has grouped our strategic priorities into 5 categories: Commercial & Investment, Technology & Integration, Operational Excellence, Talent, and Manufacturing Footprint. This particular role is focused on Operational Excellence -delivering productivity improvements for both our people and our factories. Your rotational assignments will balance between leveraging your background and stretching your development into areas of personal interest.

The candidate must have demonstrated hands-on expertise in all aspects of strategic project definition, prioritization, and execution. The candidate will lead these projects, defining and implementing KPI-based metrics and a management system to monitor delivery of the objectives. Where necessary, the candidate will build and operate a new system or process, and then transfer it into a function to ensure the new way of working is sustained over the long term.

Essential Responsibilities Include:

  • Lead projects and workstreams, including overall scope definition, progress reporting, controlling and definition of mitigating actions as required
  • Define, orchestrate and execute initiatives across various workstreams (e.g. revenue generation, cost reduction, capacity optimization).
  • Identify strategic projects, develop and implement KPI-based metrics to track project efficiency and effectiveness and follow through to ensure execution
  • Work with cross-organization middle- and upper-management to define business processes and solutions for program and resource management, gain stakeholder alignment and execute to aggressive deployment timelines
  • Establish project management and prioritization processes, chair regular meetings for escalating and resolving resource conflicts
  • On as required basis, support CEO and other C-suite leaders in the development of deal structure, negotiations and legal documentation
  • Facilitate experiential learning for junior team members, developing team capabilities through coaching and mentoring activities
Other Responsibilities:
  • Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs


Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Law, or similar relevant field
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-driven personality with exceptional analytical skills, structured work style and ability to understand complex matters quickly
  • Project management skills - planning & driving execution/implementation
  • Proven track record of people leadership & development
  • Experience influencing & managing change
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's in Business Administration
  • Willingness to travel to worldwide locations (e.g. Germany, Singapore, US)
  • 10+ years of relevant experience in professional environments, including 5+ in top consulting firms, investment banks, or corporate finance functions working in close collaboration with the CEO and top corporate executives
