The Building Maintenance Provides general and detailed maintenance (either with direct or indirect supervision), including patching, painting, hardware repairs, and other repairs/replacement work as required. Performs routine facility and equipment maintenance. Responsibilities: Performing maintenance on HVAC (i.e. changing air filters, belts, grease).Keeping documents of inspections and problems.Construction skills such as carpentry, painting, masonry, plumbing, roofing, and welding.Performing overall building maintenance including painting, lighting, installing equipment, fixing ceiling tiles, and flooring.Proactively identifying maintenance issues and finding the best solutions to address issues. Qualifications and Experience:Requires a complete understanding of all machinery including operating adjustments, maintenance and troubleshooting.Advanced critical thinking and problem-solving skills for fixing maintenance issues.Strong verbal and written communication for discussing maintenance issues.Organizational and time management skills.Minimum age: 18Must be able to pass a drug screen and physical. Certificates/Licenses/Registrations: HVAC certification preferred but not required. Education: High School Diploma or GED, or 2-3 years of relevant experience in facility maintenance. Physical Demand/Working Conditions: Must be able to work in variable weather conditionsPhysical strength and dexterity to lift, move, and handle equipment.Stamina to deal with long hours standing or walking.Must be able to climb high altitudes on ladders.Ability to work in extreme hot or cold conditions.Must be able to work in both very hot (more than 100 degrees) and very cold (less than 20 degrees below zero) and in a very wet and humid environment for extended periods of time. Exposed to noise/vibration, and chemicals. Required to Stand, walk, climb, bend, twist, push and pull, and reach above and below the shoulder.Repetition-Hand/Wrist Simple Grasping, Firm grasping.
