Job Summary

.

The Surgical coder applies ICD10-CM diagnostic and CPT procedural codes, modifiers, and charges where applicable. Resolves relevant coding edits to ensure accuracy and integrity of data billed to payers. Assigns appropriate admission/discharge dispositions and any additional required data elements. May contact physicians as needed for clarification regarding the assignment of diagnostic and procedural codes. Ensures established quality, productivity and process goals are met. Ensures compliance with Medicare and other required regulatory agency guidelines related to coding.

Must have experience with facility outpatient coding of multiple surgical specialties.

Required coding credential (CCS, CCA, CPC, RHIT, or RHIA) -

Full Time Day Shift Remote - Hours are 8am-4:30pm

Certifications Required:

Coding Credential (CCS, CCA, CPC, RHIT or RHIA)

Experience

• Professional surgical coding experience in multiple specialties required.
