Linde Gas & Equipment Inc. is seeking a HR Generalist to join our team located in Pittsburg, CA **Flexible to West Region**.

The HR Generalist will support designated states in the Western Region and will assist management and employees relating to all phases of Human Resources.

The HR Generalist will provide advice and counsel to managers, supervisors, and employees on a variety of human resource issues. This role will report to the HR leader for our Western Region.

HR Generalist

  • Maintains a high degree of confidentiality and integrity
  • Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention
  • Consults with line management, providing HR guidance when appropriate
  • Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; recognition, and morale; and training and development
  • Responsible for identifying and meeting company's organizational development needs
  • Partners with talent acquisition to help managers with recruitment by assisting in the requisition and selection process
  • Assist with pay and time & attendance functions including processing, answering employee questions, and fixing processing errors.
  • Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
  • Formulates training programs and schedules based on company and employee needs
  • Completes monthly reporting on HR analytics
  • Analyzes data and statistics for trends and patterns with attention to recruitment, hiring practices, motivation, turnover, and compliance with employment laws and regulations.
  • Assists with record tracking related to hiring, termination, leave, transfer, and promotions
  • Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partners with the legal department as needed/required.
  • Assists with processing on time terminations
  • Assists with the preparation of the performance review process
  • Reviews and processes employee transfers, changes in job classification, salary increases, and other related employment matters.
  • Assists with developing and implementing employee engagement initiatives
  • Other duties as assigned


  • Associate degree required
  • 3-5+ years Human Resources experience
  • Some Employee Relations experience required
  • Knowledge of California employment-related laws and regulations preferred
  • Ability to interact with Management
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
  • Knowledge of California employment-related laws and regulations preferred
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Strong written & verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software
  • SPHR or PHR Certification is a plus
  • Ability to travel a minimum of 50%
