HSE Coordinator - Industrial Safety, Training, OSHA, EPA, Audits We are currently looking for a Leader to take on a key SUBJECT MATTER EXPERT level role as the plant senior Safety Coordinator, EHS Specialist, Safety SME, or even an EHS/SHE Manager to lead the Health, Safety, Wellness, and Environmental areas of our Charlotte, NC area facility.

This Senior level Safety project Leader/Coordinator will directly be responsible for all Health and Safety matters at the plant which includes interfacing with OSHA, maintaining compliance to OSHA standards and corporate Policies as well as providing training and support to plant personnel.

Role will break down to be about 75% Safety oriented, 25% environment on the whole, but priorities will shift back and forth based on reporting timelines, issues that come about, unexpected needs, and changes to regulatory standards etc.

You will be the SME and lead the Safety effort at the plant by scheduling, creating meeting agendas, facilitating meetings and conducting follow-up on identified action items.
Your role is to:
- Ensure compliance with federal, state and local laws, regulations, rules and codes related to safety and environment.
- Develop and customize and update, safety and health policies and procedures for the facility, the employees and management teams.
- You will regularly and whenever necessary, interface with federal and state regulatory personnel
- Personally develop and conduct safety training customized for the facility.
- Personally maintain attendance records and training calendar.

- It will be your responsibility to track/monitor injury records, 24/72, Near Miss, and BOP submissions to identify trends and bring to the safety team for
brainstorming solutions.
- You will actively respond to claims of work-related injuries, (respond to emergency situations, report, schedule doctors appointments, communicate with
insurance carriers, interface with Human Resources personnel, follow-up, etc)

The ideally qualified candidate will bring as much of the listed experience below to the role:
"Bachelors degree and minimum of four years of safety and environmental support experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
"Intermediate user of MS Office: Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook.
"Personal attributes of integrity, credibility and a drive for excellence.
"Engagement. Must care about the future of the company and be willing to invest discretionary effort in the success of our mission and values.
"Strong written and verbal communication skills.
"Intellectual curiosity with a "no excuses/go-getter/can-do" attitude.
"World class sense of confidentiality and decorum.
"High-energy, flexible self-starter able to respond to and integrate change with minimal personal resistance.

Those with experience in developing policies and procedures and conducting Systematic Cause Analysis Techniques (SCAT) and risk assessments and both project, process and personnel management/leadership are desired.

Strong communication skills, including interpersonal and documentation skills, along with an ability to train, motivate and a persuasive yet "information sharing" nature and ability will success in this role, along with a personal level of integrity, credibility and a drive for excellence and success.

Please note....Some travel may be required, however the day to day activities will be primarily based in the area/region just to the north of Tulsa, OK.
