Examples of Work
What will you be doing? Long story short, you will support the Human Resources Learning and Development team in communicating with NDOT teammates the right way, at the right time, through the right communication method. To do this, you'll research and monitor communication trends that will help communicate and market learning and development opportunities.

While assisting with the planning, execution and analysis of learning and development opportunities, we'll look to you to present unique and innovative ideas. You'll prepare marketing materials, agendas, some presentations and review documents on special projects that drive the HR communications narrative.

You will coordinate statewide learning and development opportunities and get hands-on experience with the administration side of a LMS (online learning). Qualifications / Requirements
REQUIREMENTS: Must be a three-fourths student in good standing majoring in a discipline or field related to the work to be assigned. Must be eligible to work in the United States.

PREFERRED: Someone who is obsessed with new communications trends and can help us unearth the best way to present information so that teammates enjoy hearing from Human Resources. A deep understanding and obsession with communication across generations. A deliberate writer with insatiable curiosity (you ask how else we could tell this story and aren't afraid to let your creativity shine). Highly organized with proven administrative skills and a high attention to detail. Hardworking and enthusiastic. Good team player with ability to form excellent working relationships at all levels. Someone who is outgoing and personable, with excellent communication skills. Ability to learn quickly but isn't afraid to ask questions.

OTHER: Applicants must be at least a three fourths time student majoring in human resources or related field and be able to work at least 12 hours a week when classes are in session, 16 hours a week preferred. Temporary full-time employment may be available during scheduled school breaks. Employment up to 2080 hours or four years, whichever comes first. If employed to 2080 hours, student must take a 30-day break before returning to work. Willingness and ability to travel as needed. Valid driver's license or ability to provide independent authorized transportation. Regular and reliable attendance is also required.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Experience gathering quantitative and qualitative data, analyzing data and synthesizing results into briefings and reports with recommendations; Ability to build effective relationships across organizational levels through professionalism, strong work ethic and high quality outputs; Ability to communicate clearly in verbal and written form; Ability to prioritize, organize and manage multiple projects; Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
