Job Description

The ISA's primary responsibility is to develop new clients to expand and grow the Eurofins BioPharma Services and support the global Business Development Team (BD).
Complements new client development activity in collaboration with Business Development Directors, within assigned geographic territory.

  • Achieves personal targets for Eurofins BioPharma Services. The ISA will have their own personal goals identified by Senior Director // Global Head, Business Development at the start of calendar year, or upon hire.
  • Develop new clients to expand and grow the Eurofins BioPharma Services business for defined territory.
  • Identify at least 10 new prospect accounts per quarter that could benefit from working with Eurofins BioPharma Services
  • Identify contacts at each company that would be responsible for outsourcing Central Laboratory Services
  • Identify prospect accounts via all available tools (Zymewire, RFP activity, News Releases, BD leads, Website leads, Clinicaltrials.gov, Hubspot etc.) and perform initial contact via e-mail/telephone as appropriate. Goal is to highlight capabilities of the Eurofins BioPharma Services, and secure General Capabilities presentation.
  • Attends bi-weekly Sales Meeting, with participation in providing details pertaining to open opportunity status and key client interaction
  • Setting up at least 10 Face to Face or WebEx meetings for the BD team to deliver a general capabilities presentation to prospect clients per month
  • 60 email or phone call interactions with new clients per week
  • Identify, qualify, and document potential customers, sales opportunities and unmet client needs in the assigned territory that are aligned with the company capabilities (fit-for-win).
  • Report and utilize marketplace developments and specific competitive information.
  • Other tasks as required and identified by Eurofins BioPharma Services leadership.
This is a great entry point into the Business Development world for someone with little to no sales experience but who has a passion for and training in the life sciences with a particular interest in clinical trials.

Qualifications

The Basic Minimum Requirements:
  • Authorization to work for any employer in the US, indefinitely, without sponsorship
  • One - three (1-3) years of clinical or central laboratory, clinical trial (CRO, trial supplies/logistics, e-Clinical) or relevant B2B project service (e.g. consulting) industry
  • BSc/BA or equivalent in Life Sciences/ Healthcare(laboratory or clinical services preferred)
  • Or business degree from a reputable institution combined with experience with Clinical Trials
  • Proficient use of MS Office
  • Excellent in establishing and maintaining internal and external relationships, extends and maintains a wide network of contacts. Organizes and participates in important consultation structures
  • Fluent in English, spoken and written
  • Valid driving license
The Ideal Candidate would posses:
  • CRM experience
  • Fluent in additional languages is a plus
  • Strong customer focus and a strong can-do attitude
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Converts abstract issues into concrete actions and results, devises new methods, methods and techniques
