Position Description

Under the supervision of the Director, Talent Acquisition & HRIS, the International Recruiter / Expat Administrator will be responsible for achieving the agency's staffing objectives by recruiting and evaluating candidates who require Visa sponsorship and leading the partnership with hiring managers to complete the vacancy fulfillment process. This position is the core of the international recruitment process and requires forward-thinking problem-solving throughout the role's responsibilities. The Senior International Recruiter will also collaborate with various resources both inside and outside The Home to ensure the best, most efficient hiring process for Visa-eligible hires.

Essential Functions

The responsibilities of the International Recruiter / Expat Administrator can be broken down into three main areas: International Recruiting, Sponsorship Process Lead, and International New Hire Concierge.

International Recruiting

  • Serve as the primary recruiting resource for all international/Visa requiring applicants and candidates across the organization regardless of Program/Department
  • Serve as a subject matter expert and go-to resource for all Visa sponsorship-related inquiries
  • Partner with hiring managers on the most effective and efficient processes for leading the sourcing, screening, and interviewing processes for their program
  • Regularly check in with hiring managers to make sure the agreed upon processes are still effective and make any necessary changes if requested
  • Continually monitor available data sources (dashboards, reports) to proactively identify issues and/or bottlenecks in the recruiting process and take steps to resolve such issues
  • Partner with the Compensation Team to determine appropriate offers to be extended to potential new hires
  • Develop and maintain ongoing relationships with selected educational institutions and community-based organizations to facilitate the agency's various recruiting initiatives
  • For each vacancy, work with hiring managers to identify ideal candidate profiles, which involves gaining an understanding of each program's culture and needs
  • Educate hiring managers on The Home's hiring and onboarding processes/systems
  • Maintain all applicant/candidate data in the Applicant Tracking System
  • Including ensuring the timely and accurate disposition of candidates, declining candidates with appropriate/accurate reasons, adding notes, etc.
  • Assist with the verification of external new hire paperwork to ensure accuracy and completeness before inclusion in The Home's Applicant Tracking System (UKG Recruiting)
  • Maintain job postings on the corporate website and various external sources
  • Serve as a backup to the Recruiting Coordinator to oversee the New Employee Hiring Process which includes running any/all background checks, creating offers, checking references, and ensuring that new hire processes are followed
  • Represent the agency in selected career fairs and industry events

Sponsorship Process Lead
  • Confirm candidate qualifications align with both job description and Visa sponsorship requirements
  • Maintain shared tracking of the status of all potential new hires that would require sponsorship to ensure as smooth and timely of a hiring process as possible
  • Become a subject matter expert on what positions within The Home are eligible for Visa sponsorship and coordinate with team members/hiring managers to ensure accurate messaging to potential applicants
  • Collaborate directly with The Home's immigration law firm
  • Assist potential new hires with credential verification/eligibility

International New Hire Concierge
  • Ensure a high level of engagement with all relocating new hires via the International Recruitment Program
  • Create and maintain relationships with both internal and external resources who can assist new hires in various areas, including banking, housing, training, technology, transportation, etc
    • Serve as a liaison between new hires and these resources to help facilitate the relocation and acclimation process

Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree and minimum of 6 years of agency or corporate full-cycle recruitment experience required
  • 4+ years' experience facilitating the hiring process for candidates who require Visa sponsorship who reside internationally or domestically
  • Experience assisting new hires with the relocation to, and the transition of residing and working in, the United States preferred
  • Experience within human services organizations preferred
  • Must be highly organized and possess excellent communication skills both written and oral
  • Computer literate including Microsoft Office and Internet Explorer with the ability to learn new software applications
