Overview

SUMMARY

Global Management Services, a subsidiary of Bering Straits Native Corporation is currently seeking a qualified Irrigation Technician for Grounds Maintenance Contract at Denver Federal Center. This position requires all aspects of irrigation maintenance, repair, as well as monitoring online irrigation program. This is a full time/year-round position and snow removal is a must during the winter months.
Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Irrigations system repairs/maintenance
• Irrigation system checks
• Baseline/Base Manager (online irrigation program)
• Emergency on-call response may be required
• Snow Removal

Required (Minimum) Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Irrigation system maintenance and repair experience- required
• Backflow Certification a plus
• Proficient in use of computer

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics

• Must have working knowledge of irrigation systems operation and components
• Must be able to work independently and follow a project to completion

Job is performed outdoors with exposure to many different types of weather.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFYING FACTORS

As a condition of employment, may be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening, as well as have acceptable reference and background check results to obtain access to federal installation. Must have reliable transportation to/from work a necessity and must be able to obtain access to federal installations.
