Summary:
Supports researchers with basic laboratory needs and administrative support; loads autoclave; runs errands; aides in a variety of cleaning related tasks in the laboratory areas; assists in performing secretarial, clerical and general office duties; transcribes, types, maintains records and files and distributes mail; performs all duties and responsibilities listed above in a confidential environment requiring general supervision with some latitude for utilizing judgment and initiative.

Starting salary for this position is $30,830 annually which includes a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications:
Required Education and Experience

High School Diploma or G.E.D. and the equivalent of one (1) year of full-time secretarial or related experience or experience working in a laboratory setting.

NOTE:
Required degrees must have been granted by an accredited college or university or one recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center as following acceptable educational practices.

Preferred Qualifications:
The preferred candidate will have cell culturing, maintaining cell lines, passaging, transfection and electroporation experience, prior DNA purification using mini/midi/maxi prep kits, PCR experience along with E. Coli Transformation, electroporation, and heat shock along with making media and agar plates for bacterial cultures.
