GHD's Southeast environmental group is looking for a Laborer / Operator to join their team! This position is based out of our Tampa, FL office but will be working 100% of the time in the field.

Responsibilities in this role will include:

• Operate medium equipment at experienced level quality
• Safely operates equipment with the ability to achieve daily production goals
• Conducts daily maintenance checks of all operated equipment and vehicles
• Provides a variety of physical labor with hand tools, power tools, etc. when necessary
• Read, interpret and construct according to engineered drawings/ plans.
• Assists Superintendent and foreman in ensuring that the final product is of the upmost and highest possible quality, both structurally and aesthetically.
• Completes all required quarterly and yearly Safety Reporting Forms (STEPs, UA/UC/SW)

Successful skills & qualifications:

• Up to 5 years in operating a variety of medium size equipment, i.e. skid steer, fork lifts, tele-handlers, personnel lifts, farm style tractor
• Qualified in the basic operation of heavy equipment (e.g. dozer, loader, excavator, roller/compactor, grader, Marsh Master) some of it in a production scenario.
• Ability to read/ use tape measures, transit/levels, etc.
• May be required to have a CDL as part of your employment.
