Responsibilities

The salary range for NY is dependent on experience, from $87,200 to $109,000.00/yr.

The Lead analyst - Revenue Requirements, who reports to the Senior Director of Regulatory Finance, plays a key role in the Avangrid Networks Planning & Regulatory team.
Primary responsibilities are reporting, modeling and analytics for Avangrid Networks Regulated Earnings, Rate Base, and Return on Equity.
1. Acts as a liaison between Regulatory teams, Control and other business areas to produce reports and performance analysis on historic results, budgets and long-term forecast focused on regulated earnings, rate base, return on equity, as well as, overall financial statement analysis of the P&L, Balance Sheets and Cash Flows.
2. Identify automation and process improvement opportunities. Initiates and leads business area goals, process improvements. Plans, provides direction and coordinates across teams. Cultivates internal network with different process stakeholders.
3. Organizes complex financial analysis, business case cost-benefit analysis and presents to management. Manages the Networks Revenue Requirements excel model. Supports Investment proposals according to the process and requirements set by the Company's Investment Standard.
4. Provides linkage to management for decision making outside of day-to-day responsibilities.
5. Ensures Regulatory team's full support and review of the short and long-term forecasts for regulatory assumptions and rate base projections.
6. Special Projects, financial analysis, and support across the team in a variety of roles/areas. May provide rate case support including preparation of schedules, legal briefs and data responses.

Skills and Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance, or related fields of study with an emphasis on critical thinking and analytic skills
• 5+ years progressive, relevant analytical experience
• Demonstrated advanced analytical skills and judgement dealing with complex business issues.
• Additional skills include strategic mindset and ability to synthesize information identifying key elements to communicate at a senior leadership / executive level.
• Knowledge of US GAAP accounting standards and financial statements required. Familiarity with FERC and IFRS accounting standards preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Tools (Excel, Power Point, Word)
• SAP, Power BI experience preferred
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written required
• Knowledge of complex financial models from inputs to outputs and drivers
• Growth potential to assume new responsibilities and functions
