Alliant Energy has an outstanding opportunity for a Lead Resource Planning Consultant to join our team.In this role you will be responsible for providing research, development, and authoritative guidance in the areas of resource planning and adequacy. You will perform complex and specialized tasks that require an advanced degree of independent judgment relative to resource planning and adequacy related topics, issues and processes both internal and external to the company.

This position offers a blend of working from home, and in the Madison, WI office on average 2 days per week. The successful candidate must reside in Wisconsin.

Job Qualifications
Education
  • Bachelor\u0027s Degree with an emphasis in Engineering, Business Administration orrelated area is preferred.
Required Experience
  • 10 years progressively responsible experience related to the area of resource planning and adequacy.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license.
Knowledge, Skill and Abilities
  • Thorough understanding of resource planning models, Aurora and/or ProMod.
  • Advanced knowledge of MISO resource adequacy issues and processes.
  • Advanced knowledge of respective state regulations as related to resource planning and adequacy.
  • Demonstrated advanced computer skills (e.g., e-mail, word processing, spreadsheet, project management, and programming), or the ability to use higher level planning and/or data analysis software.
  • Demonstrated effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a diverse work environment.
