LEAD UI/UX DEVELOPER
Essential Duties:
- Lead a team of 1-10 UI/UX Designers
- Help to define product specifications
- Own the journey of a User by conducting User Experience research
- Perform interviews and document User Personas
- Create story boards and provides barebone mockups to conduct User studies
- Delegate the creation of and present story boards with polished mockups
- Work with Product and Engineering teams to ensure accessibility and styling standards are met
- Enforce design consistency across the organization
- Teach others the User interface mechanics for a visually interactive experience
- Decide layout, buttons, common componentry, etc.
- Rapidly presents ideas to make educated decisions in leadership discussions
- Own the Global Style Guide to enforce specific pixel perfect componentry
- Mentor a team to solve User Experience problems in creative ways (e.g. usability, findability)
- Analyze and report on competitive products and industry trends
- Assist upper management to plan and organize work for a team of UI/UX Designers
- Occasionally assist in recruiting new UI/UX Designers
Experience Required:
- 3-5 years of designing user experience interfaces
- B.S. in a Design related major
- Proven experience as a UX Designer, UI Designer or similar role
- Portfolio of design projects
- Background in conducting UX research
- Experience in with working across teams within an organization
- Experience leading review sessions
- Experience owning and enforcing sets of standards
- Ability to assert design quality during design and delivery of software
- Proficient in Figma design software
Additional Qualifications/Skills/Education:
- Experience working with HTML/CSS, JavaScript
- Portfolio of design projects
- Worked with Angular Material Design
- Experience gathering and reporting User Analytics
- Experience with energy market graphical design and use cases
- Experience leading a team of UI/UX Designers
