Legal Administrative Assistant

BCforward is currently seeking a highly motivated Legal Administrative Assistant for an opportunity in Indianapolis, IN!

Position Title: Legal Administrative Assistant

Location: Indianapolis, IN 46280
Anticipated Start Date: 3/25/2024.

Job Type: This is a full-time position, and days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Pay Range: [$35,000] - [$40,000]

Please note that actual compensation may vary within this range due to factors such as location, experience, and job responsibilities, and does not encompass additional non-standard compensation (e.g., benefits, paid time off, per diem, etc.).
Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or a combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, etc.) and Adobe Acrobat.
  • The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
  • The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
  • Experience handling contracts or employment law is a plus.
  • Spanish fluency preferred.
Job Description:
  • Participate in administrative staff meetings and other departmental meetings as needed.
  • Compose & prepare correspondence and filing documents.
  • Respond to inquiries, subpoenas, or other requests for records.
  • Tracking status of subcontractor agreements and assisting with contract management.
  • Ensure that work follows legal requirements, best practices and internal policies and procedures.
  • Track deadlines and coordinate completion of department projects.
  • Creates and maintains templates.
  • Formatting and coordinating signatures on contracts or legal documents.
  • Perform other various tasks as assigned.
