Legal Assistant/Secretary

Beacon Hill Staffing Group's client is a Berkley-based law firm searching for a Litigation Legal Assistant/Secretary to cover a leave.

• Location: Option to work fully remote, but must be local to go into the office as needed (Berkeley, CA 94704)
• Start: Immediately for cross training
• Duration: 2+ months for vacation coverage of legal assistant. There may be a possibility at a later date for conversion, but there is no timeline on when that will be.
• Hours: Part-time hours you can set yourself, with the option to work evenings or during standard business hours. Once the legal assistant goes on vacation in late April, you may need to be available during business hours for the team

Responsibilities:

• Word processing
• Create documents from templates
• Calendaring
• Reading and responding to emails
• Following up with team regarding deadlines and follow up with clients
• E-filing
• Creating case management statements
• Shells for discovery
• Converting docs to PDF and getting date stamps
• Opening mail

Requirements:

• 1+ years of related experience
• Additional skills: Clio, Lawyaw, MS Office Suite
