As a Loan Accountant, you are responsible for borrower financial transactions for Veterans United, including weekly and monthly mortgage-related reconciliations and borrower payment recording.

Job duties will vary upon assignment but may include:

  • Reconcile mortgage-related assets, including escrow cash and liability accounts.
  • Processes borrower payments and all incoming checks into the accounting system.
  • Issues escrow disbursements on behalf of borrowers.
  • Respond to emailed inquiries from external departments regarding borrower related payments.
  • Assist appraisal team with questions on borrower appraisal reconciliations.
  • Actively contribute to making the team and culture stronger by assisting with other duties as needed, excluding licensed activity.

  • Advanced knowledge in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Regular and predictable attendance
