Position Summary - Maintenance Project Manager (Plant Outages)

The Maintenance Project Manager willprovide leadership with a primary focus on coordinating, planning, leading and the execution of all plant outages. Responsibilities includes integrating all departments to enhance outage execution and delivery. This position will also access the quality, robustness, and capability of process equipment and will provide guidance towards process equipment improvements. The Maintenance Project Manager will be responsible for all planned outage activities relating to, but not limited to: Rotary Lime Kilns, Quarry Process Equipment, and Bulk Loadout Systems and associated equipment.

Requirements

  • Strong planning, problem solving, troubleshooting, communication, project management, and leadership skills.
  • Promote a positive work environment for growth and sustainability.
  • Lead and manage, through collaboration, with all co-workers in their area the RCA/Corrective action program for equipment issues.
  • Use the RCA/Correction action program for improved equipment reliability.
  • Participate in the development of process documentation on maintenance jobs/tasks.
  • Review all existing master job procedures on a regular basis and ensure that they are up to date and contain all pertinent information.
  • Involvement and coordination with all departments: planning, reliability, maintenance, electrical, dust, pm, labor, vac truck, rotary, loadouts, purchasing, and warehouse.
  • Develop standard outage pre/post inspection procedures to ensure that proper actions are being taken to maintain plant equipment and to keep the equipment in good working condition.
  • Participate, use, and support the maintenance work order system for continued growth and development.
  • Use KPI/Metrics for process measurement of outage timeliness and effectiveness.
  • Work with the maintenance planner on coordination of planned work for outages.
  • Responsible for planning and scheduling to promote department efficiency.
  • Promote a positive work environment for growth and sustainability.
  • Cost effective use of contractors, spares, and materials.
  • Task and project oriented.
  • Ability to work with all levels of management.
  • Ability to work some off shifts and weekends.
  • Supervision in a union environment is desirable.
  • Other duties as required by the needs of the plant.

Minimum Education and Experience
  • Related college degree preferred and 3-5 years' experience in an industrial maintenance planning or reliability role preferred.
  • Working knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics is desirable.
  • Mechanical aptitude and process equipment maintenance experience preferred.
  • Microsoft/ERP proficient.
  • Advanced computer skills for reporting, information transfer, and analysis are preferred.
