Maintenance Technician *Title:* Maintenance Technician
*Location:* Akron, NY
*Salary:* $25-$30/hr - depending on experience
*Requirements:* PLC, Electrical, Hazmat Certification

Located in beautiful Akron, NY we are an established company that has been in business since 1918! As it stands, we have over 400 employees across five states with an average employee tenure of 7 years. We are currently looking to add a few Maintenance Technicians to our great team!

What You Will Be Doing - Troubleshoot & repair power drives and pneumatics, PLC's
- Prepares requisitions for materials/parts needed to complete work orders
- Repairs, installs and maintains facilities, machines, production equipment
What You Need for this Position - 3+ years experience in an industrial/manufacturing Maintenance Tech position
- 2-year degree in mechanical engineering or a verifiable trade school
- Forklift certified or able obtain the qualification within the probationary period
- Valid Drivers License
- PLC experience a plus
- Capable of reading blue prints, electrical diagrams and schematics
- Basic proficiency with electrical meters/multi meters, using standard tools
- Proficient with mechanical equipment (including lathes, mill, drill press, saws, grinders)
- Familiarity and knowledge of Fluid Control
- Capable of burning and welding (MIG, TIG, Stick)
- Metal fabrication
- HAZMAT experience, ability to pass a HAZMAT physical
