Summary of Role:

GlobalFoundries Fab 10 is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Unit Process Development Manager to be a part of the Advanced Silicon Packaging Development team engaged in advanced technology at GlobalFoundries' state of the art 300mm wafer postfab (Fab 10 located in East Fishkill, New York)

Work Location:

Your initial and temporary work location will be East Fishkill, NY. This position will relocate to another GlobalFoundries location (TBD) by the corporately aligned date which will be on or around December 2022.

Essential Responsibilities Include:

  • Leading a highly skilled and experienced team of process engineers, integrators and technicians in the development of interconnect technologies associated with Si Photonics and Heterogeneous Integration opportunities (2.5D, 3D, W2W bonding as examples).
  • Establish and execute plans to support technology qualifications and customer Early User h/ware (EUH) and Proof-of-Concepts (POC) leveraging the diverse 300mm & module toolsets in the Packaging Differentiation Line (PDL) area within the Fab10 Post-fab line. Work closely with the SBUs, various GF Fab teams, extended GF technical teams and customers to define deliverables and execute h/ware builds accordingly.
  • Ensure the PDL operations are properly resourced by defining staffing, OpEx and CapEx needs with the management team and executing to plan.
  • Execute technology transfers as needed to internal GF teams and/or OSATs. Work with larger team to execute PDL transition plans.
  • Provide people management support for the team consistent with GF best practices.
Other Responsibilities:
  • Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs


Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
  • Education/Experience - MSc in Materials Science Engineering or equivalent
  • Years of Experience: at least 6 yrs experience in semiconductor development or manufacturing
  • Travel Requirements: 5 % of Travel
  • Language Fluency: English (Written & Verbal)
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with BEOL &/or Interconnect (Cu Pillar/C4) development
  • Experience with Packaging technology
  • Demonstrated team leadership
