Experience meaningful work and provide engineering support to manufacturing processes.
Responsibilities and Duties: (3 to 5 duties) see examples below
- Identify and implement shop floor process improvements that increase output and reduce overall costs
- Assist in creating and maintaining shop floor work instructions
- Participate in lean manufacturing initiatives that support continuous process improvement
- Participate in special projects that could involve cost reduction, special processes, machining processes and supplier support activities
Requirements: - Currently pursuing a Bachelors' degree from a 4-year accredited university
- 3.0 GPA- highly preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Strong attention to detail
- Experience conducting research
- Self-starter
- Excellent critical thinking/problem solving skills
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to follow policies and procedures
