Position Overview

The Marine Survey Intern will assist in route engineering tasks at various phases of a project. This function involves working closely with the Marine Engineering Services (DTS, Survey, GIS, and Line Engineering) and the Marine Installation Group.

This intern will assist in writing/review technical specifications for Marine Surveys, review engineering of the route and straight line diagrams, assist in management of route survey marine operations from the office, assist in the notification of cable and pipeline crossings, and will help QC survey data coming in from survey vessels.

Responsibilities

Background/coursework in Geography, Marine Engineering, Remote Sensing, or other related discipline. Must have experience with survey data collection methods and/or equipment, and geospatial data management and/or processing.

Skills: Proficient in the use of Geospatial software packages, survey equipment, survey data visualization/processing software. Previous survey experience a plus.
