Ultimate Staffing is looking for a Medical Records Clerk for a great medical practice in Rocky Mount!

This is full time, temp to perm, 100% in office.

Hours: 8am-5pm, Monday-Friday

Pay: $16/hour

A. The Medical Records Clerk is responsible for copying, printing, mailing, importing and responding to all requests for medical records.

B. Import, print and scan.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

General Duties

a) Maintains standards of professional care and maintains patient confidentiality.

b) Implements policies and procedures.

c) Performs job responsibilities in a safe, efficient and professional manner.

d) Reports and records pertinent information

e) Assists patients, referral coordinators, referring physicians and coworkers

f) Participates in economical utilization of supplies..

Scheduling Specific Duties

a) Answers telephone calls by 3rds ring to accomplish records requests from referring physicians staff, referring physicians and patients.

b) Follows established protocol for providing service in a professional, efficient manner.

c) Ensures that all transactions are appropriately ordered, documented, clear and concise.

d) Documents all information related to information release or requests for release including ensuring proper releases are in place.

e) Enters all demographic information into EHR/EMR system.

f) Accurately records insurance information, authorization information, requested data, etc.

g) Informs caller of expectations for delivery of requested information.

h) Answers questions from patients in scope of knowledge. Directs questions to appropriate personnel if unable to answer questions.

i) Maintains productive level at established standards.

i) Type information into the system without error to complete each transaction

Other Duties

a) Maintains the strictest confidentiality of all facility and facility related employee / patient information.

b) Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATION, LICENSURE

Education: MINIMUM: High School Graduate or equivalent.

Experience: Minimum one year experience in medical setting.
