Join our team of competent and compassionate professionals as a Mental Health Counselor in the Early Intervention program at Behavioral Health Network!

Your experience, knowledge and great skills will support the Early Intervention program with the following:

• Provide in home and community outreach services to children and families.
• Provide family centered services focused on strengthening/maintaining secure parent child dyad.
• Provide parental support and coaching using a strengths based approach.
• Provide play-based services with children on the floor, in playgrounds, and other places where children play in their natural environment.
• Work collaboratively with other EI team members to complete Developmental Assessments such as Battelle Developmental Inventory II.

The Early Intervention Program at Behavioral Health Network serves children between the ages of birth and three years of age for whom there are developmental concerns due to identified disabilities, or whose typical development is at risk due to certain birth or environmental factors.

Qualifications/Requirements

What are we looking for in a Mental Health Counselor?

• Master's degree in Counseling, Clinical, Developmental, or Educational Psychology from an Accredited Institution.
• Or Current Licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) by the Massachusetts Board of Allied Mental Health and Human Services Professions.
• Knowledge of infant/toddler development, ability to both determine areas of delay and create opportunities, strategies to improve individual child's development.
• Broad knowledge of environmental factors which may affect child development.
• Broad knowledge of community's resources available to families of young children in the EI catchment area.
• Valid Driver's License and safe driving record.

**NOTICE**

In accordance with the BHN Mandatory COVID vaccine policy - all staff, interns, temps, residents and contractors are required to be fully vaccinated no later than day one of employment. Medical or religious exemptions will be offered and must be approved prior to starting work.

The same guidelines noted above apply during flu season (defined as December 1st - through end of flu season as announced by the CDC) for BHN's Mandatory Influenza Vaccine policy.
