Job Description:

The Millwright is responsible for installing, dismantling, or moving machinery and heavy equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, or other drawings.

Essential Job Duties:

  • Contributing to the development of a work plan that meets customer project requirements.
  • Interpret drawings, blueprints and following written and printed detail instruction
  • Developing a materials list for each project as needed and working through purchasing to acquire those materials
  • Installing and repairing mechanical systems and components such as pumps, compressors, motors, bearings, couplings, seals, and perform alignments
  • Demonstrating fabrication skills and ability to meet customer ideas or project concepts
  • Abiding by all site emergency plan and procedures
  • Conforming with and abiding by all regulations, policies, work procedures and instructions
  • Conforming with all safety rules and use all appropriate safety equipment
  • May perform other duties as assigned
Skills, Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma or GED; or a minimum of 3-5 years of applicable experience
  • Must have ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, procedure manuals, and routine reports and correspondence
  • Must be able to prioritize and organize multiple simultaneous tasks to ensure timely and accurate completion
  • Able to analyze information gathered in order to identify potential problems or discrepancies
  • Able to work with minimal supervision and demonstrate appropriate initiative
  • Requires attention to detail
Work Environment:
  • May be working in office, industrial or laboratory work site
  • Occasional exposure to elements such as noise, dust, heat, cold or chemicals
