This is an onsite position at our Carlsbad, NM mining site. Relocation assistance is available for the right candidate!

Are you our next Mining Engineer? (We encourage new grads and all levels to apply)

As a mining engineer at our Carlsbad mining location, you will be a critical interface providing technical support to our maintenance, engineering, capital, mine Development and mine production teams. In this role, you will report to the mine engineering manager assisting in the coordination, scheduling, cost control and planning of the Carlsbad mine operations. You will thrive in the role if you have a safety mindset and enjoy working in a mining facility.

What will you do?

  • Provide safe and effective mine engineering services including mine design layout, mine ventilation design, mine planning, geology, geotechnical, and operation performance optimization

Our Ideal Candidate Will Have the Following:

Engineer I
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering with a major in Mining, Civil, Mechanical, Industrial, or related engineering discipline
  • Microsoft Office experience with an emphasis on Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills
  • Applicable plant operations software experience

Engineer II
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering with a major in Mining, Civil, Mechanical, Industrial, or related engineering discipline
  • 2+ years of engineering experience
  • Microsoft Office experience with an emphasis on Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills
  • Applicable plant operations software experience

Engineer III
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering with a major in Mining, Civil, Mechanical, Industrial, or related engineering discipline
  • 5+ years of engineering experience
  • Microsoft Office experience with an emphasis on Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills
  • Applicable plant operations software experience

Senior Engineer
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering with a major in Mining, Civil, Mechanical, Industrial, or related engineering discipline
  • 8+ years of engineering experience
  • Microsoft Office experience with an emphasis on Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills
  • Applicable plant operations software experience

Bonus Points if You Have the Following:
  • Underground mining or heavy construction experience with exposure to environmental and safety compliance and management elements
  • Underground supervisory experience
  • Demonstrated engineering and design experience
  • Knowledge of MSHA regulations
  • Experience in Potash Mining
  • PE License
