Network Engineer III

Our client is looking for a Network Engineer to join their team with a strong routing/switching background for their RPHY initiative.

Top 3 Requirements:
- Strong background in network engineering and very strong with routing switching
- Strong Cisco experience (ideal if they have mixed vendor environment experience - Juniper, Arris, etc.)
- Working knowledge of routing protocols including: OSPF, ISIS, BGP, v4/v6 Multicast
Plusses:
- Working knowledge of DOCSIS
- Working knowledge of CMTS platforms including: Casa C100G, Arris E6000, Cisco cBR8 | vCMTS experience preferred (Mac-PHY, remote PHY)
- Working knowledge of specific switch platforms including: Cisco NCS/ASR, Juniper QFX/ACX


Day to Day/Project:
- vCMTS and RPD Regression Testing and Certification
- Working in lab environment alongside other engineers in a similar capacity
- Focused on RPHY initiative - will be taught DOCSIS
- Performs assessments on existing technologies to determine performance and capacity gaps.
- Programs routers and switches.
- Solid knowledge of routing protocols, network hardware and software, security technologies and network infrastructure is required.
- 5+ years of experience
