An American Company is seeking a Network Engineer Sr Cloud (TCP, UDP, BGP, OSPF, VPC, EC2) in Irving, TX.

Role Description

Seeking a Sr Cloud Network Engineer who is comfortable working in a challenging and diverse environment to take ownership of our cloud network infrastructure. You will also provide escalation level support to internal team members and external clients via phone, email, chat or in person. Candidates should be highly motivated, self-motivated and have excellent analytical, organizational and communication skills. They must be a strong team player able to lead, train and collaborate with others. Professional level certifications in AWS, Azure, GCP, OCI is preferred.

Responsibilities:
• Design, plan, implement and maintain private, public and hybrid cloud network solutions / connectivity
• Ensure all aspects of the entire enterprise cloud networks are architecturally sound and highly available
• Research existing and emerging technologies that align with business requirements and provide effective solutions based upon extensive professional experience, industry best practices, knowledge of industry technologies through formal training and/or self-study
• Evaluate the current cloud network architecture and develop action plans to make necessary improvements
• Develop and maintain accurate cloud network support documentation in a knowledge repository
• Perform network performance monitoring, trending and capacity planning for the enterprise cloud networks
• Analyze, diagnose, and resolve customer issues
• Provide Tier 3 and Tier 4 technical support
• Collaborate with 3rd party vendors to ensure the network stays operational

Skills & Requirements

• Skilled in hybrid networking environments - connecting on-prem to cloud networks (AWS, Azure, OCI, GCP)
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
• Active listening and analysis to identify issues or problems
• Research and creativity to identify a solution to the issue or problem
• Ability to communicate resolutions in a simple, easy to understand manner
• Communication skills
• Verbal and written - via phone, email, chat, etc.
• Must be able to clearly communicate instructions and current tasks
• Must be able to describe technical items to non-technical users
• Multi-tasking skills - ability to help a team member or customer real-time while performing other tasks
• Passionate about customer support, attention to detail, excellent organizational and time management skills
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, work nights or weekends, as needed, and participate in an on-call rotation

Education and Experience:
• University degree in Information Technology or related field preferred
• 5+ years of working experience in large enterprise (Fortune 1000) networks - (Cisco, f5, Juniper) is preferred
• 2+ years working specifically in cloud network design, planning, connectivity, migration and support
• Expert knowledge and understanding of common network protocols (e.g., TCP, UDP, BGP, OSPF, VPC, EC2.)
• Certifications highly recommended - (i.e., AWS or Azure Certified Solutions Architect)
