Job Title: RN - NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care

Duties & Responsibilities: NICU Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for the comprehensive care of newborn infants admitted to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for neonates requiring specialized medical interventions and monitoring. Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, including neonatologists, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals, you will ensure the delivery of safe and high-quality care to neonatal patients and support their families through challenging times.

  • Conduct thorough assessments of newborn infants, including physical, developmental, and psychosocial aspects, to develop individualized care plans.
  • Administer medications, treatments, and interventions as prescribed by physicians, adhering to established protocols and safety guidelines.
  • Monitor vital signs, respiratory status, and other physiological parameters, interpreting and responding promptly to changes in the patient's condition.
  • Perform specialized procedures such as endotracheal intubation, umbilical catheterization, and neonatal resuscitation as required.
  • Collaborate with neonatologists, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and ensure continuity of treatment.
  • Provide education and support to parents and family members, including guidance on infant care, feeding techniques, and coping strategies.
  • Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and timely in electronic medical records.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment in the NICU, adhering to infection control protocols and safety standards.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, research projects, and staff development activities to enhance clinical practice and patient outcomes.
  • Adhere to ethical and professional standards of nursing practice, demonstrating compassion, empathy, and respect for patients and their families.


  • Minimum Requirements:
    • RN License
    • BLS
    • NRP
    • 2 years NEO ICU experience
    • Direct patient experience
    • day shift
    • 3 weekend shifts in a 4 week scheduling period.
