Night Shift-Dryer Master Relief Operator

Starting rate: $20.07/hour + shift differential

General purpose: The Master Relief Operator provides relief to higher level jobs on an ongoing basis.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Demonstrates and enforces compliance with safe work practices and lockout/tagout
• Observes and corrects unsafe actions by co-workers
• Completes required safety observations
• Complies with good manufacturing practices and regulatory guidelines
• Demonstrates and enforces food safety standards and good manufacturing practices
• Understands and fulfills duties and responsibilities as described in job descriptions for Dryer Operator and Production Lead Person
• Provides relief to Dryer Operator and Production Lead Person on an ongoing basis, performing all responsibilities of relieved jobs as assigned
• Runs dryer and fulfills all related responsibilities one shift per week
• Runs grinding room and fulfills all related responsibilities one shift per week
• Provides coverage for Dryer Operator or Production Lead Person in his/her absence
• Primary emphasis is covering dryer operation. In the event that Dryer Operator and Production Lead Person are absent at the same time, a secondary backup for the Production Lead Person should fulfill those responsibilities.
• Performs other tasks when not serving in a relief capacity, including routine production and warehouse duties
• With Dryer Operator, verify accuracy of container and case labeling
• Change over or assist with changeover of all equipment to accommodate scheduling requirements
• Operate forklift and pallet jack
• Clean and sanitize equipment
• Operates all associated machinery in a safe manner

• High School Diploma, GED

Starting rate: $20.07/hour + shift differential
