Position Summary

This position is responsible for delivering results in support MFA operational needs for high profile organizational project priorities within the Office of Clinical Research. The ideal candidate demonstrates initiative, brings fresh ideas to problem solving, and possesses excellent written and verbal communication skills. Candidate possesses a willingness to get the job done through data-driven and empirical decision-making, including stakeholder data collection, performed through detailed meetings and discussions, departmental and clinic observations, interviews and reporting. This person is able to define and drive a project from concept through implementation, coming up to speed in new content areas quickly and leveraging available resources, as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Reviews projects to assure compliance with federal regulations, departmental guidelines or funding requirements. Reports project status to appropriate personnel.
  • Develops, evaluates and implements policies or procedures to ensure completion of the projects.
  • Acts as liaison between departments or agencies to facilitate work flow.
  • Performs research to collect, observe, analyze and present substantive information for MFA operational projects.
  • Identifies key project stakeholders, schedules and holds kick off meetings, takes notes and documents actions items for follow up.
  • Coordinates weekly/monthly project status meetings as deemed necessary. Provides presentation deliverables as required by circumstances.
  • Sets up and administers the training schedule for appropriate staff.
  • Engages stakeholders in various communication approaches, including setting up and populating Share Point sites, sending emails and notifications, coordinating and leading in-person and virtual meetings, drafting and reporting to meeting participants.
  • Administers the sign off process from the project team to the support team.
  • Participates in interdisciplinary groups, to solve problems, report findings and facilitate workflow.
  • Define, lead, and execute multiple projects simultaneously.
Qualifications

Education
  • A college degree in a project management, business administration, or a related field is required.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a healthcare specialty field is ideal.
  • A current and valid PMP certificate is necessary.
Experience
  • A minimum of 5 years of project management, with 3 or more years of dealing with senior level change management, is required.
