The Opportunity: Orthopedic Technician (Salem, NH)

Why This Role Is Important

We are seeking a full-time Orthopedic Technician Services to support our Salem, NH site Monday through Friday. Our Orthopedic Technicians provide direct patient care services and act as resource for other personnel, while maintaining or advancing the professional knowledge base consistent with current orthopedic technological practices. They oversee the technical operation of orthopedic technologic services, including the maintenance of adequate supplies and equipment, and the assurance of safe work practices, environment, and equipment. They also collaborate with orthopedic surgeons, medical assistants, Physical Therapists and Occupational Therapists for purchasing, regarding orthopedic technological procedures, devices and supplies necessary to meet the needs of the patients and providers.

Qualifications
About You
  • A minimum of 5 years work experience as an orthopedic technologist working with multiple trauma and medical/surgical orthopedics.
  • Certification as an Orthopedic Technician is required prior to hire
  • BLS Certification is required within 6 months of hire
  • A Bachelor of Science Degree is strongly preferred
  • A sound understanding of applied anatomy, biomechanics and kinesiology.
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Microsoft Outlook is required and the ability to learn computerized electronic documentation and schedule systems
