IU Early Childhood Education Services (ECES) provides year-round, high-quality care and education at nationally accredited centers for children ages birth through five years. Our commitment to high-quality is demonstrated by providing child-centered, active learning environments based on research supported best practices, through degreed teachers, strong campus support, and adherence to the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). In addition to the service component, the IUB ECES Centers meet the academic mission of Indiana University by providing sites for student training and by serving as research sites for faculty and students. Finally, the early childhood centers at IUB serve as model high quality, early education programs for the Bloomington community and the state of Indiana.

Job Summary

  • Washes dishes, flatware, pots, and/or pans using dishwashers or by hand.
  • Rinse and scrape all used dishware and cookware.
  • Wash items by hand (large pots, cutting boards, etc.).
  • Rinse and return IU Dining food containers and serving utensils to IU Dining bins.
  • Adhere to all hygiene, cleanliness, and safety requirements.
  • Clean and sanitize sinks, and other kitchen areas (carts, microwave, and counters).
  • Store clean dishes and cups properly.
    Cleans work areas; mops and cleans floors.
  • Maintains awareness of supplies levels and informs supervisor when supplies are low.
