Job Title: Payroll Administrator

Hybrid M and Fri remote

$73K-95K

Summary: The Payroll Administrator plays a vital role within our organization's Benefits and Payroll team, ensuring accurate and timely processing of U.S. and global payrolls in compliance with relevant regulations and company policies. This position serves as a resource for employees on payroll matters and requires excellent communication skills and a commitment to confidentiality.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Payroll Processing:
    • Maintain employee master files, updating payroll records, and reviewing changes.
    • Set up new employee payroll files, ensuring compliance with regulations and company policies.
    • Process and audit bi-weekly multistate and monthly global payrolls, including time and attendance and direct deposits.
    • Manage various pay requests from departments promptly and accurately.
    • Set up and maintain deductions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with tax regulations.
    • Perform quarterly and annual tax filings and provide payroll-related reporting.
    • Reconcile payroll and retirement registers and monitor bank transactions.
    • Research and implement new tax registrations for payroll withholdings.
  • Issue Resolution and Communication:
    • Research and resolve payroll issues promptly, liaising with payroll providers, vendors, and employees.
    • Analyze process flaws and recommend solutions to meet requirements.
    • Maintain and support various reports and queries to ensure data integrity.
  • Employee Training:
    • Train employees and managers on payroll and benefits system functionality.
    • Provide assistance during Open Enrollment and address employee inquiries.
  • Administrative Support:
    • Assist with internal and external audits and special projects.
    • Collaborate effectively in a team-oriented environment.

    Job Requirements:

    Education/Experience:
    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
    • Certification in payroll administration or 3-5 years of equivalent payroll experience required.
    Knowledge/Skills:
    • Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail essential.
    Technology Skills:
    • Proficiency in Payroll software systems required.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
