PAYROLL & BENEFITS MANAGER IN CONCORD, OH

We are seeking a top notch Payroll & Benefits Manager to join a thriving chemical manufacturing company located in Concord, OH. This person will be responsible for implementing payroll and benefit processes and procedures, overseeing workers compensation, managing the fleet leases, and handling payroll and taxes for expatriates. This role will be the subject matter expert for the entire payroll life cycle as well as the selection, administration and management of all employee benefit programs.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure compliance with all local, state and federal laws and regulations as they relate to all facets of the payroll and benefits function.
• Manage, process, and maintain all payroll activities and functions
• Analyze, maintain, monitor, and update the payroll database containing all payroll records concerning employee demographics, salary, taxes and bonuses.
• Design and implement improvements in order to further streamline benefit and payroll processes and procedures to improve efficiency
• Interpret payroll and benefit policies and procedures for employees and advise on payroll practices, benefits administration, and updated legislation
• Establish new subsidiaries of the corporation in the payroll and benefit system Including proper
  tax identifications and profiles
• Review and monitor all corporate benefits relative to other companies to assure the offering of a competitive package; make recommendations for change if necessary
• Establish new states, cities, counties, and municipalities, including school districts, in the payroll systems to ensure proper taxation occurs within those jurisdictions
• Manage the Worker's Compensation life cycle including: processing claims, sending out annual employee notices, as well as preparing and providing annual audit information to the Accounting Department
• Complete monthly payroll Journal entries, complete monthly bank to book cash reconciliations,
  print checks, and initiate ACH and wire transfer weekly payments
• Represent the ISKA retirement plan (401K) as a fiduciary, including coordinating and completing
  of the annual audit and plan testing
• Audit and prepare monthly invoices for Medical, Dental, Life Insurance, Personal Accident Insurance, Flexible Spending. H.S.A., and Cobra
• Manage payroll and tax matters
