The Penetration Tester is responsible for performing security-related consulting services for Digital Defense clients. Within Offensive Security Operations, the Penetration Tester's primary role is to perform analyst-assisted services, particularly penetration testing and remote social engineering. Additional tasks, such as onsite social engineering, web application penetration testing, physical security reviews, and other security and compliance-related services, may be assigned as the Penetration Tester goes through internal and external qualification processes.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Perform research, analysis, and testing of computer/network vulnerabilities via various methodologies such as vulnerability assessment, penetration test, and/or social engineering.
  • Clearly outline and portray test findings via well-documented reports. Will deliver or participate in client briefings at onset and conclusion of services. Client briefings are primarily accomplished remotely but may occasionally occur at client locations.
  • Maintaining a high level of proficiency in utilizing the Digital Defense Frontline. Cloud interface and various open-source and commercially available penetration testing tools.
  • Assist clients with questions regarding vulnerability specifics and remediation actions.
  • Create, update, and follow process documentation to support the penetration testing team.
  • With the assistance of senior team members, develop and follow a training plan to advance your skills as a penetration tester.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Cyber Security (or a related IT specialty) preferred
  • Must have at least one industry-recognized security certification.
  • Experience: Minimum of three years of experience in the security industry. Experience with CTFs and bug bounties is highly desired
  • Must have excellent customer service, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to work in a team environment
  • Must be a self-starter and have the ability to manage multiple priorities with a minimum of direct supervision and guidance.
  • Willingness to travel 10%, if necessary.
