Overview

The Experienced Polysomnographic Lead is responsible for scoring all sleep studies on a timely basis.

Ideal Candidates Posess:

  • ABRET self study modules completed
  • Relevant supervisory or charge or preceptor experience
  • 1 year or more current sleep tech experience
  • Experience in scoring sleep studies
  • 1 year or more recent Pediatric experience
  • A-Step Certification
  • BLS Certification

Responsibilities

Position exists to provide support to the Sleep Center for Children in conjunction with the Medical Director and with the Department Director. Primary responsibility is to score and generate preliminary report on all the sleep studies performed at the sleep lab according to the AASM scoring guidelines. Set up daytime Sleep studies and assist the Sleep Clinic as needed. Help and backup the Department Director to fulfill the day-to-day operations and activities of the Sleep Clinic/Center and EEG department, make recommendation and submit equipment and supplies request to the Department Director. Oversees QA activities of the night technician and their performance. Back up for the Lead EEG Tech as needed. Other duties assigned by the Department Director. Report directly to the Department Director and to the Medical Director.

  • Experience in scoring sleep studies
  • 1 year or more recent Pediatric experience
Certification and Licensure

  • BLS Certification
