Provide process engineering support for plant operation and strategic initiatives including process optimization, raw material and energy efficiency utilization improvements, capital project support, and process control support.
Provide process engineering support to several chemical processes.
Provide process troubleshooting and technical directions to manufacturing.
Maintain operating procedures and provide informal training for process operators.
Monitor and maximize process capabilities (quality, cycle times, costs, etc.) for existing products and processes.
Recommend procedural changes, equipment modifications or recipe adjustments as needed to improve product /process.
Lead quality and operational improvement teams. Identify and provide justification for capital expenditures in support of business objectives.
Maintain and update procedures, process safety information, piping and instrument diagrams and process hazard analysis to meet regulatory requirements
Use and maintain systems associated with the Quality Management System (ISO 9001), Process Safety Management (e.g., PSM, RMP, MO
Skills, Qualifications, Experience, Special Physical Requirements:
Minimum of B.S.in Chemical Engineering required.
0-7 years of experience, co-op or internship experience preferred for new graduates, chemical process experience at a plant location a plus.
Strong technical and problem solving skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects.
Strong verbal skills required. Ability to communicate effectively with operators, technical people, customers and business professionals.
Ability to teach employees basic chemistry, equipment and controls of the processes
Strong PC skills and familiarity with all Microsoft programs, DCS software, engineering software. Background in SQC\SPC desirable.
Strong data management and organization skills
