Our office in Tampa, FL, Chantilly, VA, Bowie, MD or Charlotte, NC is looking to bring onboard a motivated Process Engineer in the Engineering Design Organization to support the Water/Wastewater group. As a Process Engineer, you will be responsible for the engineering evaluation, design and construction of wastewater treatment, remediation and infrastructure projects in the Southeast region, as well as other regions of the United States.
Specific responsibilities will include:
- Developing designs of wastewater facilities and infrastructure
- Piping and pumping system sizing
- Preparing technical specifications for process equipment, piping, and pumps
- Performing hydraulic computations
- System troubleshooting and start up support
- Assisting with permit application preparation
- Identifying, preparing, and participating in presenting proposals and cost estimates to prospective clients
- Providing ongoing consulting services to established clients
- Continuously networking with colleagues and peers in the industry
- Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Chemical, Civil, or Environmental Engineering
- Current PE License in VA, NC, MD or FL or can acquire it
- 10-15 years of water/wastewater, process design, and construction experience
- Prior consulting experience working with municipal and/or industrial clients highly desired
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD or Revit a plus
- Strong communication skills and ability to work within a team and independently
- Willing and able to travel to project sites and client meetings as needed
