The opportunity

Reporting to the Director of Product Operations, we are hiring a Program Manager who can take the initiative to manage projects within a specific Altus Services Framework (which includes Altus Products and Services), aligning deliverables with the program, driving the project plans, mitigating risks, and defining proactive resolutions. You will play a critical role in ensuring innovation in your program, elaborating and detailing how we work within a new framework from engagement and execution to communication and evaluation. You will manage the success of product launches and quarterly releases at Altus, report on the overall health of the program, spearhead the work of Project Managers and work in partnership with Product Managers.

Who you are

You are currently a Program Manager or you may be a Senior Project, Operations, or Relationship Manager ready to take the next step. You have experience managing multiple projects at once, preferably at larger organizations, and taking on the additional responsibility of overall program coordination. You are seeking an opportunity to gain exposure and make an impact at a growing global tech product company. You can quickly shift gears and adapt to the unique needs of each project you lead, ensuring alignment with the program roadmap and reporting overall program status up to senior executives. You want to apply your expertise running multiple projects simultaneously and managing the cross-project dependencies on a grander scale, playing a pivotal role in high satisfaction for CRE clients worldwide.

Our new Program Manager will:

  • Product Release Initiation and Planning. You will:
    • Consult with all stakeholders to translate the release initiatives and tasks into a defined project with goals, objectives, deliverables and scope.
    • Confirm the commitments, assumptions and constraints as well as define the processes, procedures, and reporting needed to manage the program.
    • Obtain release approval and manage all activities and milestones required.
    • Perform a governing role - including monitoring change requests or deviations from the scope - to ensure that the work is carried out according to the plan.
    • Motivate a cross-functional team exerting influence without authority.
  • Program Communications. You will:
    • Establish effective oversight, and serve as the day-to-day point of contact for senior management and stakeholders (President, EVP, VP, Directors, etc.).
    • Provide impartial transparency into the work being done.
    • Measure, monitor and report release and schedule details to all stakeholders weekly.
    • Ensure that the communication processes are effective, and linkages are maintained between the business units and the organization's strategic direction.
    • Be the primary point of escalation on issues for the team.
  • Risk & Issue Management. You will:
    • Conduct risk management analysis after pro-actively identifying risks, and then escalating issues to Management, both from a day-to-day, and long-term perspective.
    • Run Root Cause Analysis (RCA) reviews for major issues, to ensure that issue is not repeated, and processes are improved.
  • Maintain & Improve: You will:
    • Work with program management to identify weaknesses and continuously improve the processes and practices associated with the delivery and overall program framework.
    • Build and strengthen the way tools and technologies are used and continually improve the process.
    • Promote best practices to all parts of the business.

Our new Program Manager will have:
  • The experience. You have 5+ years of hands-on project management experience and have successfully overseen and delivered numerous complex projects in the past. You have experience coordinating or supporting program management in technology or services. A PMP, PMI, or ACP certification is considered an asset.
  • Collaboration skills. You're a relationship-builder who enjoys working closely with and learning from internal teams. You easily gain the trust of your teammates and are excellent at explaining the big-picture vision and obtaining stakeholder buy in.
  • Project management expertise. You are highly detail-oriented and meticulous. Your focus is accomplishing every milestone while ensuring processes are followed and issues are proactively dealt with. You're a strong multi-tasker who can track the progress of multiple team members and motivate them to put their best foot forward. You are proficient in Microsoft Project as well as other project management tools.
  • Communication skills. You are a strong verbal and written communicator who can clearly articulate project needs to a diverse range of stakeholders. You proactively follow up on action items and don't hesitate when it comes to picking up the phone or sending an email.
