JOB DESCRIPTION - KEY QUALIFICATIONS

• B.A. or B.S. Degree in Business or Finance
• Prior construction job cost accounting experience required
• Prior experience in utilizing construction accounting software. Knowledge and experience in Yardi Construction Module and IRIS Power Scan Systems a plus.
• Ability to prepare timely monthly draw applications to Investors and Lenders
• Detailed oriented, customer oriented and deadline driven
• Effective verbal and written communication skills required
• Ability to handle multiple priorities at once and meet deadlines
• Knowledge and experience of Intermediate / Advanced Microsoft Excel, Word and Sharepoint
• Knowledge & experience in a document imaging system
• Strong understanding of an Escrow Closing Statement with the ability to reconcile the S&U to the GL and project budget

• Insurance Claim tracking, processing and reporting.
• Lender Reporting - coordination with internal & external personnel to track, reconcile and submit any Lender required documents and support per the terms of the Loan Agreement.
• Monthly/quarterly cash flow projections
• Validate subcontractor/supplier payment requests and work completed
• Code invoices for project costs and overhead allocations
• Track and prepare subcontractor/supplier lien releases
• Compile draw request package, monitor funding, review accounts payable
• Review project budgets and construction status
• Insure and coordinate checks and draw check runs
• Validation of subcontractor payment requirements and monthly payment of subcontractors and suppliers through joint check payments
• Tracking of budgets and costs in the Yardi Accounting System of all jobs of an assigned portfolio in all modules (general ledger, job cost, project commitments, accounts receivable and accounts payable)
• Communicate project status with internal personnel, Lenders, Investors and Inspectors
• Prepare monthly journal entries, job cost allocations, and accruals
• Reconciliation of general ledger accounts and bank reconciliations
• Handle audit requests including State Tax Audits
• Support staff in special projects and other duties as needed
