About the Position

We are seeking a MILITARY & FEDERAL INSTALLATIONS PROJECT MANAGER to join our growing team. The position can be located in either of the following offices: (hybrid work permitted) Huntsville, AL; New Orleans, LA; Colorado Springs, CO.

The primary duties of the Project Manager are to lead, direct and manage multidisciplinary teams through every phase of critical Federal Planning projects, including DoD and non-DoD, to assure on-schedule completion within or below budget and in accordance with contractual obligations. Supervision of work, coordination with clients, bid solicitation, project management, and project closeout documents as well as management of sub-consultants, and coordination with Pond discipline leads to ensure project resources and quality meets customer needs.

Short-term site visits, quality assurance reviews, develop and train junior staff, build and develop client relationships and interact as required by scope during project execution.

Travel Requirement is 25% or 1 week per month on average.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE:

  • Knowledge of contract and task order management, project delivery, and client relationship management
  • Knowledge of Federal contracting and procurement process and procedures is a plus
  • Knowledge of Planning requirements for federal facilities including DoD and non-DoD Federal agencies
  • Knowledge of facilities design criteria
REQUIRED SKILLS:
  • Effective communication skills are critical - writing skills, Acrobat or Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office Software
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills
  • Ability to work with people and strong presentation skills required
  • Ability to work on several projects or issues simultaneously
  • Ability to manage time effectively, prioritize activities and meet deadlines
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

The Project Manager position requires an accredited Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Planning, Engineering, Architecture or Design, at least one (1) year of experience as a Project Manager, plus at least five (5) years of experience in a planning, architecture, engineering, design or construction organization. Professional registration (AICP. PE or RA) and experience within the Federal client arena is preferred. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is desired within one year of employment.

Work Authorization/Security Clearance
