Project Manager - Retail Restaurant construction We are a Miami based GC who does a ton of high end restaurant and retail work in southern Florida. As we grow we need more project managers and superintendents to handle all the work. Do you have experience building these products ? If you do, we would love to talk.
What You Will Be Doing - Preparing the bid to send to the owner
- Negotiating with subcontractors
- Preparing subcontracts
- Preparing project schedules
- Coordinating owner-supplied items
- Reviewing subcontractor pay requests
- Initiating owner and subcontractor change orders
- Processing requests for information and change orders
- Monitoring schedules
-Initiating owner pay requests
- Preparing and submitting close out packages for final invoice
- Visiting the construction sites
- Reconciling work-in-progress costs
- Monitoring jobs and job costs on a regular basis
- Supervising the day-to-day activities and productivity of project superintendents
- Monitoring work of subcontractors and hiring/firing subcontractors as necessary
What You Need for this Position - Bachelors Degree; and a minimum of five (5) years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to communicate effectively both in written format and oral presentation.
- Ability to multi-task and establish priorities.
- Ability to maintain organization in a changing environment.
- Ability to use working knowledge of all consultant work to maintain efficiencies and meet deadlines. Possess and in depth understanding of the basics of most building systems.
- Ability to use extensive working knowledge of all paperwork procedures necessary to complete the contract documents to obtain permits and prepare for construction.
