MISSION :
The Quality Engineer's mission is to lead and handle the optimization of the manufacturing process for current and future products. You will act as the process specialist for a given area within the manufacturing site. Initial training will include formal classes and on-the-job mentoring under an experienced area expert.

KEY EXPECTED ACHIEVEMENTS

For the area of responsibility:

  • Delivered products are compliant with quality planning models and are manufactured in compliance with obtention standards.
  • Quality and productivity performances comply with goals defined by the shop. Right the first time principles are applied.
  • Customer risks, product compliance and quality performance risks are anticipated. Actions to reduce risks are implemented.
  • All complaints, non-conformities, nonstandard situations and performance shifts are processed appropriately.
  • Effectiveness of implemented actions is demonstrated.
  • Causes of anomalies and nonperformance are resolved
  • The Quality section of the annual continuous improvement plan has been completed. He/she contributes to its definition
  • Ensures mentoring of operators (including the quality correspondents) to improve application of manufacturing standards and reaction in the event of deviation.
  • Follows up on process performance in terms of capability and productivity and takes part in ensuring permanent improvements are made.
  • Takes part in project planning for changes to products, materials, processes and methods

REQUIREMENTS
  • B.S. Degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Material Science Engineering with a strong manufacturing background.
  • 1-3 Co-op/Intern rotations preferred.
  • Ability to develop guidelines and standards for operators.
  • Ability to effectively communicate both written and verbally.
  • Ability to provide feedback on compliance and standards to management
