Responsibilities

The Quality Manager assists in supporting the quality, safety and service initiatives and goals of the organization, department, and service lines using Continuous Quality Improvement methodology in managing data collection, analysis and reporting outcomes. The Quality Manager identifies the appropriate utilization of clinical and administrative data and facilitates teams through the process improvement cycle. Develops clinical policies as appropriate. The Quality Manager, in collaboration with the Stroke Medical Director, will oversee the Stroke Program operations both daily and through ongoing strategic planning to ensure consistent quality care to the stroke patient. They are responsible for maintaining ongoing compliance with Joint Commission standards for Advanced Primary Stroke Certification, as well as planning and implementing care protocols and working directly with administration. The position oversees all Stroke Program improvement activities in conjunction with the Stroke Medical Director; oversees the Stroke Registry and databases for accuracy and timeliness of data submission; identifies and develops learning opportunities for staff; and promotes open communications with the community.
